ASDA's 2nd Annual Friendsgiving

ASDA’s 2nd annual “Friendsgiving” Turkey Bowl was held on November 22 and it was an even greater success than last year! MUSC students and faculty gathered at the Stono Shelter of the James Island County Park to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday a little early, with lots of friends, food, and fun. We provided 10 turkeys, asked everyone to bring a side (macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, dessert, etc.), and with that had many full bellies after eating our “friendsgiving” meal. Many students also participated in a football tournament throughout the day. All four classes put together a co-ed football team and the tournament began with the D4s playing the D3s. Following their game, the reigning champions from last year, the D2s, played the D1s. In the championship game, the D4s played the D2s, and the D4s came out on top! Who knew dental students could be so competitive when it came to football? Congrats to the class of 2016 as the winners of the second annual Turkey Bowl! And a big thanks to Dr. McGill and Dr. Morrow for refereeing each of these football games. Thanks to everyone for coming out, we had a great turn out and a fun day! Shout out to Caitlin Coracy, Anna Moorhead, and all of the ASDA EC for all of your hard work— this day would not have been possible without you!
