Over the last weekend in January, MUSC ASDA took almost 30 students to Charlotte, NC for the District 4 meeting. Over the course of two full days we heard from a variety of speakers on everything from navigating life as a new graduate, to malpractice insurance, to the importance of remaining a part of organized dentistry. The cabinet did a great job incorporating fun activities throughout the weekend including an Instagram hashtag photo contest (which we won 3 out of 4 days!) and a night at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. On our final evening we were lucky enough to experience the 1st annual Stainless Steel Crown Awards where we were recognized for the following: Excellence in Chapter Educational Programming, Excellence in Chapter Leadership Development, Most Likely to Succeed (Chris Conzett), Mister Congeniality (Jon Fryml), and MVP (Ronnetta Sartor). It was a wonderful weekend bonding with each other and learning tools that we can implement into our chapter to continue making it even better!
