From Feb 26th-March 2nd, the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine sent 6 of your MUSC ASDA Executive Committee members to attend ASDA Annual Session 2014 held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anheim, California. Some of the highlights of this event included:

• a keynote presentation by Jim Morris (the individual responsible for the inspirational story behind the Disney film, "The Rookie" starring Dennis Quaid),

• hot topic sessions involving Licensure, Student Debt, and AEGD/GPR programs

• the House of Delegates (the body that creates the official bylaws and processes of ASDA on a national level) passing many new resolutions involving student debt policies as well as Needle Stick Policies concerning students

• and many more!

Our reps were extremely busy getting involved in organized dentistry, networking with other dental schools, and figuring out new and better ways to promote advocacy for dental students here at MUSC. They also had a lot of fun!
